Install the SHATOSHI app
SHATOSHI works like an app on your phone or computer. It takes a few seconds to add, and you can remove it whenever you like.
Why it's useful
- One tap away. Open it straight from your home screen, like any other app.
- Live numbers, always there. The Bitcoin price in pounds, the latest block and network fees, updating on their own.
- Full screen. No browser bars, just the site.
- Works offline. Guides you have already opened can be read again without a signal.
- Free. No account, no sign-up and no app store.
- Tiny and up to date. It takes up very little space and updates itself.
- No extra tracking. Nothing beyond the site's normal analytics.
On an iPhone or iPad
- Open shatoshi.co.uk in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The SHATOSHI icon appears on your home screen.
On iPhone this only works from Safari, not from other browsers or in-app browsers like X or Instagram.
On Android
- Open shatoshi.co.uk in Chrome.
- Tap the menu (three dots, top right).
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Tap Install to confirm.
You may also see an Install app button on the site. Tapping it does the same thing.
On a computer
- Open shatoshi.co.uk in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the install icon at the right of the address bar (a small screen with a down arrow).
- Click Install. SHATOSHI opens in its own window and you can pin it to your taskbar or dock.
Removing it
Remove it like any other app: press and hold the icon on your phone, or right-click it on a computer and choose uninstall. Nothing is left behind.
